Disabled supporters

Here at McDiarmid Park we aim to ensure that disabled supporters enjoy their involvement with St Johnstone every bit as much as able-bodied fans. To that end the following information may prove useful.

Parking

There are 15 designated disabled bays in the stadium car park – 10 outside the West Stand and 5 adjacent to the East and South Stands. These are for use by wheelchair-bound supporters only. A proportion of these are taken on a season-long basis by Saints supporters but the remaining spaces are available on a match-by-match basis. There is no need to pre-book these – simply inform the car park steward that you use a wheelchair. Blue Badge holders who are not wheelchair-bound will be accomodated in the normal spaces within the main car park but will be exempt from the car park charge.

Supporters in wheelchairs

Home Support:
There are 10 wheelchair spaces available in the Main Stand plus another 10 in the East Stand. Access to these positions is entirely on the level and there is a disabled toilet close by. The wheelchair supporter is admitted at a cost of £13 while the carer, who will be allocated a seat in the row behind the wheelchair area, will be admitted free of charge.

For those without season tickets, booking of wheelchair spaces on a game-by-game basis should be done as early as possible in the week prior to the match. Please contact our Ticket Office on 01738 455000 to do this.

Away Support:
In April 2011 the club opened a new wheelchair facility for away fans in the north end of the West Stand. Access to these ten positions is entirely on the level and there is a disabled toilet close by. The wheelchair supporter is admitted at a cost of £13 and the carer, who will be allocated a seat in the row behind the wheelchair area, will be admitted free of charge. Booking of wheelchair spaces on a game-by-game basis should be done as early as possible in the week prior to the match. Please contact our Ticket Office on 01738 455000 to do this.

Please note that this area of the main stand is not always open as the 'general area' for away supporters and so there may be occasions when wheelchair away fans are the only supporters in this area of the ground. However, we shall always ensure that the area is properly stewarded and that help is given in providing toilet and refreshment facilities.

Ambulant Supporters

St Johnstone FC recognises that there are people with walking difficulties which do not confine them to a wheelchair.

Our policy is to allow supporters with ambulatory disabilities concessionary rates of admittance in line with wheelchair users i.e. £13 for the disabled person with no charge for a carer.

However, the Club reserves the right to request “proof of disability” before any concession is made and such proof will include:

Please note, receipt of an orange/blue badge will not be considered sufficient proof for the concessionary price.

Supporters with visual impairment

The club has 20 seats within the stadium which are fitted with an induction loop that broadcasts commentary on the match provided by Hospital Radio Perth. Please contact our Ticket Office on Perth 455000 to book one of these seats.
