UNDER 19s DEFEAT HAMILTON ACCIES

UNDER 19s DEFEAT HAMILTON ACCIES Saints Under 19s notched up a win this afternoon thanks to a 2-0 success over Hamilton Accies at Stirling University.

Stevie May and Steven Reynolds (pictured) were the goal scorers in an all-too-rare success this season.

Coach Alec Cleland told the Saints Official Website, “I’m pleased for the boys and hopefully this will give them a bit of confidence. They played well in the second half of the weekend defeat from Falkirk and today they picked things up from where they had left off in that game.

“It was 0-0 at half-time and it was good to be able to give them a team talk which didn’t have to deal with negative aspects of what had gone on in the first half. Hamilton had two men sent off in the second half but we were worth the win regardless of that.

“Hopefully the boys will take confidence from today into Friday’s game against Aberdeen. They gave us a real football lesson the last time we played and won 6-0 so I will be looking for improvement.”

The starting line-up today was: Duffy, Alexander, Porter, Durnan, Lindsay, O'Hare, Hemsley, McIntosh, Heagney, May, Reynolds.
