MOON INJURY TAKES SHINE OFF WIN FOR MANAGER

MOON INJURY TAKES SHINE OFF WIN FOR MANAGER Derek McInnes admitted that some of the shine had been taken off last night's win over Aberdeen with the news that Kevin Moon looks likely to miss the remainder of the season due to medial ligament damage in his knee.

The midfielder was stretchered off the pitch ten minutes into the second half of last night's 1-0 win and left the ground of crutches.

That apart, it was another good night for the Saints Manager who watched his side win their third successive game in hand - Hibs and Falkirk having recently been beaten ahead of last night's success which came courtesy of a first half Cillian Sheridan goal.

The busy period continues with a trip to Celtic on Saturday and McInnes is facing up to being without up to TEN players. On top of the existing injury list plus the loss of Kevin Moon, Cillian Sheridan will be unable to play on Saturday as he is on loan from the Parkhead side. Audio fileListen to Derek McInnes
