MANAGER SATISFIED WITH CLOSED DOOR WORKOUT Saints players got their first taste of match action this afternoon when they played Dundee in a closed door game.

Liam Craig scored what proved to be the only goal of the game in the first minute and Manager Derek McInnes was content with what he saw.

"It was a very useful excercise for both sides" he told the Saints Official Website.

"Dundee are more advanced in their preparations than we are as their season begins a week on Saturday but we performed well. All the players got some action under their belts and it is a good starting point on which to build."
