FORFAR MATCH OPENS PRE-SEASON PROGRAMME

It’s the first public outing of the new season tomorrow as we head to Station Park to take on Forfar Athletic.

It is the first of eight pre-season matches as Derek McInnes and his players build towards the opening game of the SPL campaign – a match against Hearts at Tynecastle four weeks tomorrow.

The manager will field a strong team against the Angus side although Steven Milne and Steven Anderson are carrying knocks and may not be risked. New striker Sam Parkin – who may be listed as a trialist pending international clearance – should feature although he is suffering from blisters.

Derek expects a tough game against a side who are more advanced in their preparations than us, what with the opening of their season being just a week away.

He was delighted that midfielder Jody Morris was able to step up training yesterday but it will be the matches in Ireland before he is given a run out in a game.

Tomorrow’s match kicks-off at 3pm and admission prices are £8 adults and £4 concessions.
