SHEERIN SET TO TEST FORMER MATES

SHEERIN SET TO TEST FORMER MATES A strong squad will make the journey to meet Arbroath at Gayfield tonight (7.30pm kick off) as the match sharpness programme of three games in seven days continues.

Jamie Adams, who missed Saturday’s opening win at Forfar, will come into contention pending a test on his groin injury and former Dundee United and Aberdeen player Stuart Duff may get another run out as a trialist.

Tonight’s match is the final pre-season test for former Saints stalwart Paul Sheerin’s new side – their competitive season begins this Saturday – and ex-Saints players Josh Falkingham, Danny Griffin, Kieran McAnespie and Marc McCulloch are likely to be involved.

Admission to Gayfield tonight is £10 and £5

A Stevie May hat-trick paved the way for the Under 19s to chalk up a 5-2 win over Newburgh Juniors last night. In an entertaining match which was a closer-run contest than the scoreline would suggest, Andrew Steeves and a trialist got the other goals for Saints.
