SAINTS HAVE TO SETTLE FOR A DRAW AT BERWICK

SAINTS HAVE TO SETTLE FOR A DRAW AT BERWICK Saints and Berwick fought out a goalless draw at Shielfield Park this evening.

In a keenly-contested affair, goal scoring chances were at a premium and although Saints enjoyed long spells of possession they created very little over the course of the game in terms of goal-scoring chances. Dave Mackay came closest with a low first half drive but Berwick keeper Mark Peat produced a good save.

The final 15 minutes was the best period for the home side and they really should have grabbed a late winner but substitute Holms was wasteful with a great chance.
