SAINTS HEAD TO IRELAND BUT 'CAFF' LOOKS FOR LOAN MOVE

SAINTS HEAD TO IRELAND BUT The Saints squad flew to Northern Ireland this morning ahead of their two match programme later in the week but not part of the travelling party was defender Stuart McCaffrey who has stayed behind in the hope of securing a short-term loan deal with Morton within the next few days.

The former Inverness man missed much of last season due to injury but is now back on track and hoping to get match-sharp during his spell with the Cappielow side who are now managed by former Saint Allan Moore.

After checking in at the team’s Belfast base, the players relaxed for a brief time before heading off on their first training session of the week.

Saints meet Lisburn Distillery on Tuesday and Dungannon Swifts on Thursday.
