Chris Kane was a member of the U16 squad for the 2009/10 season and earned his call-up to full-time duties for the U19s for the 2010/11 season. Chris had been a regular goalscorer in the youth team and had hoped to continue his progress the following campaign but he suffered a serious injury in a game against Hearts in mid-October 2011 and missed the rest of that season.

Chris Kane has been with the club for over a decade.

He was on fire for the U20s during the 2013/14 season as he netted 21 times in 18 games before joining Dumbarton on-loan in December for the remainder of the campaign. Chris spent the first half of season 2014/2015 again on-loan at Dumbarton, netting 15 goals in 21 appearances.

In February 2015, Chris won the SPFL Young Player of the Month for January and his outstanding performances saw him rewarded with a new contract taking him through to May 2018. Chris netted his first goal for the club in our last game of season 2014/2015 at Aberdeen as he came onto replace Steven MacLean and within seconds of coming on the young striker gave Saints the lead. It would prove to be the only goal of the match as Saints secured a fourth place finish in the Scottish Premiership.

In August 2017, Chris joined Scottish Championship side Queen of the South on loan until January 2018. He returned to Saints at the beginning of 2018 netting a hat-trick in the 4-0 Scottish Cup victory against Albion Rovers. He netted three more times for Saints in the remainder of the 2017/18 season including a brace against Dundee at Dens Park.

He moved on to net a number of pivotal goals for the club - producing hard-working performances along the way - during our cup double-winning season and European adventures against the likes of Galatasaray and LASK.

Chris is currently on loan at Scottish Championship side Dunfermline.
